About the Arizona JCI Senate
The Arizona JCI Senate is an organization for those that have received a JCI Senatorship award. A JCI Senatorship is the highest honor that a Jaycee can receive in the world. This recognition is awarded by the Junior Chamber International, only after recommendation by the local chapter with the approvals of the state Jaycee and the U.S. Junior Chamber of Commerce presidents. The recognition comes as a result of years of dedication, commitment and service to the Jaycee organization.
A JCI Senatorship entitles the Senator to a lifetime membership in the Junior Chamber International. JCI Senators in Arizona have the opportunity to join both the Arizona JCI Senate and the U.S. JCI Senate through annual dues or a one-time payment of Life Member dues. Currently, annual dues are $25 and Life Member dues are $225. Distinguished Associate membership is also open to Kachinas, Ambassadors, Governors, and Congresswomen award recipients.
The purpose of the Arizona JCI Senate is to assist the Arizona Jaycees and to provide social activities for JCI Senators. The Arizona JCI Senate sponsors the First Timer's program at quarterly State Jaycee meetings. The Arizona JCI Senate provides an Orientation and Training team to local chapters to assist in new member training. Individual JCI Senators sponsor quarterly and annual awards for the Arizona Jaycees. In addition, many Senators serve the Jaycees as trainers, speakers, and advisors to local Jaycee chapters.
